My Resolution is No Resolution

I know last year I had a long list of resolutions and after reviewing my list I only kept about half of them. No I didn't lose that 5 pounds. Acutally by summer I had lost 10 lbs but by the time cold hit and the holidays I was up by 15 pounds. The last two weeks of the year I was in a frantic state to reach that goal so I hit this salads and the food journaling and I'm going to call it a -2 for the year. I did read a book each month and I did get a good start on the baby albums. I didn't get involved in the church and actually I'm embarrased to say we went to church less than even the year before. I know I have many things to improve per say but this year I just have no motivation to actually write them down. So I hope you’ll forgive me this year if I didn’t do the cliche thing and make a New Year’s Resolution. Cliches are overrated. So don't worry this doesn’t mean that I’ve succumbed to living a life of debauchery or that I’m against the idea of improving oneself with a resolution. One of the big reasons is that it’s really just stinking cold and you are crazy if you think I’m going outside to exercise. So I have decided that this year I'm not breaking any resolutions. In order to prevent breaking your New Year’s Resolution you can't have one in the first place. It’s a win-win. I feel good about keeping my resolution, and now voila, I have a moral high ground for having such low standards. Happy New Years!
